Recently, I finished The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang! This book ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated, so it took me a while to get through. And… it was amazing. At this point, I’m convinced R.F. Kuang can do no wrong. I’m still in the processing stage but all I can say is that The Dragon Republic was an excellent read, both intense and exhilarating. Also, Rin and Kitay are my everything. 🫶🏼
Currently, I’m reading The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice. Lestat is one of my favorite characters ever so, of course, I’m loving this so far. Additionally, I started The Golden Age, a collection of stories, essays, and poetry by José Martí. I was gifted this book years ago by a close family friend and finally picked it up off my shelf.
Depending on how I’m feeling, my next read could be any of these! I decided I want to close off the year with Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo so I’m saving it until then.
