Turns out I’m in a bit of a reading slump! So, I decided to reread one of my favorites, The Wicked King by Holly Black. This is book two of The Folk of the Air series which I read at the start of the year and loved. It felt great to be back in Black’s fantasy world, so full of enchantment and intrigue. But mostly, I missed Jude and Cardan! They continue to be one of my favorite book couples ever. I adored revisiting this book and losing myself in the pages, once again.
Currently, I’m finishing up Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree. Everything about this book is to die for! My little slump has caused me to take my time with this one but that’s okay, as it’s allowed me to soak up all the cozy vibes. I only wish I could keep reading about Viv and her coffee shop forever.
This section is looking very much the same as last week! However, I find myself missing the Grishaverse. So, I’ve added King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo to the list. This one has been sitting on my shelf for a while now. I haven’t read the Shadow and Bone trilogy, so I definitely need to do some research before heading into this one. I have to admit I mainly picked this up because I need to be reunited with my girl, Nina Zenik.
