WWW Wednesday! (10/26/22)

Hi everyone! 🥰

Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.

All you have to do is answer the Three Ws:

♡ What are you currently reading? ♡
♡ What did you recently finish reading? ♡
♡ What do you think you’ll read next? ♡

Currently, I’m reading What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher. I re-read the Poe story in anticipation of this one, as it is a retelling, and I’m so glad I did! It makes the reading experience so much more fun. Additionally, I picked up The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter, a short story collection.

Recently, I finished We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. To keep it short, I’ll only say that I thought it was outstanding. Afterward, I revisited Edgar Allan Poe’s short story The Fall of the House of Usher. It’s been a while since I picked up a Poe story — I honestly forgot how much I enjoy reading him. The gothic elements and suspense in this short story are just perfect.

I don’t know! At the moment, I’m simply going for what I’m in the mood for. I started A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers but quickly lost interest, so I’m not too sure when I’ll pick it back up. Whatever it is I end up reading, I hope it’s a spooky book to close off October!

What book(s) have you recently finished?

As always, thank you so much for reading. I hope your Wednesday is bright and lovely! 💞
