I recently finished The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and simply adored it. You can find my review here! I also read the first volume of the Witch Hat Atelier manga series by Shirahama, just to keep the witchy vibes going. The gorgeous artwork paired with a charming story and an adorable protagonist all make this series very easy to love.
Since I enjoyed Volume 1, I went ahead and picked up the second volume of Witch Hat Atelier. Additionally, I started We Have Always Lived in the Castle! So far, I’m enjoying the writing style and Mary Katherine Blackwood is an intriguing protagonist. I’m excited to see where this story leads.
Most likely, I’ll be reading What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher next. I think it’ll make for a nice transition once I finish the Shirley Jackson book. This is one I’ve been looking forward to all month so I can’t wait! And I’ve decided to read the Witch Hat Atelier series throughout the month, seeing as it’s such an effortless, cozy read.
