I’ve been in need of some cozy, witchy vibes so I picked up The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna. I’ve heard many good things about this book so I’m thrilled to be reading it! A surprise to no one, I’m loving it so far. I’ve been caught in a very minor reading slump lately so I’m counting on this book to get me out of it. And, yes I gave up on Dracula (again!). *hides*
I recently finished the manga Tomie by Junji Ito. This is my first time reading Junji Ito and I have to say his art is stunning. It’s what drew me to pick up Tomie in the first place. I didn’t love this one as much as I thought I would but I did enjoy it as a whole. To be honest, I just got a little tired of it by the end. As I look at his work, I think Uzumaki will be my next Junji Ito read.
Next, I plan to finally read We Have Always Lived in the Castle. I always see readers rave about this book and Shirley Jackson’s work. I’ve never read any of her books so I’m really looking forward to this one!
