Hi everyone! 💕
Welcome to the first WWW Wednesday of the month! This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.
All you have to do is answer the Three Ws:
♡ What are you currently reading? ♡
♡ What did you recently finish reading? ♡
♡ What do you think you’ll read next? ♡

To be terribly honest, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve started Dracula. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with the story. It’s only that I’m not a big fan of the epistolary style. I still groan when I think back on all the times I was assigned an epistolary novel during university. Dracula being one of them. But seeing as it’s Halloween and fitting with my recent reads, I’ve picked it back up again. Here’s to hoping I don’t abandon Mr. Bram Stoker yet again. 😅

Starting off strong, I’ve absolutely loved my first two reads of the month! I found Carmilla to be masterfully written and heartbreaking. And Machado’s powerful introduction paired with her footnotes made the reading experience even better. Additionally, I finished Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein last night. Oh my goodness. I always knew I would love this book but I never expected how much! It’s so brilliant, I honestly could not put it down.

I’m really not sure what I’ll be reading next! Depending on what I’m in the mood for, it could be any of these. Ah, my mind is buzzing with all the spooky books/movies I wanna get to this month! Fingers crossed I can check them all off my list by the end of October.

What are you currently reading? Do let me know if you wish to share!
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you’re all having a wonderful Wednesday! 🫶

So spooky, Alex 😄 Happy October! I finished Normal People and loooooved it. The show captures the characters so well, it’s brilliant. Although I must confess it helped me that I watched the show first. 🤔 Which brings me to my question. Which do you think is the better way, reading first and watching after or viceversa? 🤔 I have no idea. Imagine reading the game of thrones books before the show! 😱 My respect. I would’ve been lost 😄 I’ll try a scary book next 😬Anyways, happy spooky reading! 🎃🎃🎃
oh, i’ve wanted to read Normal People for a while now! i’ll definitely pick it up soon. i love the show as well. 🥰 and, that’s a really good question! i think both are good. i really love watching a book i’ve enjoyed come alive through its adaptation. but, i’ve also watched adaptations that i loved so much it made me want to read the book (GoT being one of them). so, i think either way is great! thank you so much, i hope you have a lovely, spooky October! 🎃🧡
